The most common type of drapery in the hospitality industry is the triple pinch pleat drape also known as "French pleat". This style can be made into two or three pinch. Below we have explained the pros and cons of each.
3 Pinch:
Pros:
- Most commonly used
-Traditional look
-Reliable and practical
-Great for replacing drapery on existing hardware.
Cons:
-Not considered modern style
-Uses more fabric than a 2 pinch drapery.
2 Pinch:
Pros:
-Uses less fabric
-An updated and modern look
Cons:
- If replacing current existing drapery, you have to make sure you are giving correct measurements of your hardware and measurements of window to ensure the new 2 pinch will stack and fit properly.
Both styles will work and function the same, it just depends on what you personally like best.
